Having rejected the landlubber lifestyle, he has managed to waste the past sixty years of his boyhood messing about in boats. The alternative, to grow up and work for a living, never did appeal to him.

Mathew Goldman is a very descriptive writer.When you read his stories of sailing,you will feel as if you where there with him. As a sailor myself of many years,I loved every detail. He puts you in the cockpit, splashes the cool salty water in your face as you embark on a day's sail and then brings you safely home at the end of the day to share a pot of his French Roast coffee.Anyone that loves being on or near water will identify with this book.It' another keeper.Product details

Matt has a poetic way of describing normal passages along the coast. Having recently passed by this area on the way to my home port in Fl, I remembered fondly many of the nervous and channels mentioned. Interesting to see a person willing to sail during cold weather. While living along the Chesapeake, I would sail until the ice formed on deck. It takes a love of sailing to ensure what Matt did during cold spells.
